Cordyx Record for Mac

Instant replay for your Mac.

It records quietly while you play and keeps only the last 30 seconds. When something happens, press ⌥⇧C and it's a clip.

Free · macOS 15 or later · Apple silicon and Intel

Always ready

Starts by itself when Roblox, Minecraft or a Steam game opens and keeps the last 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Older footage is thrown away as it goes.

Up to 4K at 120 fps

Encoding runs on your Mac's media engine, not the CPU, so your frame rate stays where it was. Saving a clip takes a fraction of a second.

Your voice on its own track

Game sound and your microphone are recorded separately. Turn either one down after the fact.

Trim and keep

Clips land in your Movies folder, sorted by game. Trim with the same handles as QuickTime.

Links that play in Discord

One click uploads the clip and copies a link. Paste it in Discord and it plays right in the chat.

Nothing leaves without you

Clips stay on your Mac. Only the ones you share are uploaded, and you can delete them any time.

Installing

  1. Open the download and drag Cordyx Record into Applications.
  2. Open it once. We are not on Apple's notarised list yet, so macOS stops the first launch. Go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, scroll down and press Open Anyway. You only do this once.
  3. Allow Screen Recording when it asks. That is how any app records your screen. Cordyx Record restarts itself and lives in the menu bar after that.

Sharing links needs a Discord account in the Cordyx Discord. Recording and saving clips work without signing in.
